KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police say they’ve arrested two juveniles connected to the shooting and killing of restaurant owner Shaun Brady . KCPD says both were taken into custody within an hour of the deadly shooting.

Brady, 44, died after the incident that happened around 5:15 p.m., on Wednesday near 63rd and Rockhill Road. Kansas City police say they found him shot behind a restaurant. Emergency responders took Brady to a hospital, but he died from his injuries.

Investigators say he was taking out trash when he saw a group of people by a vehicle. Police say witnesses told them Brady was trying to stop someone from breaking into the vehicle when he was shot.

KCPD says it found the vehicle in this incident, both it and the suspects were found nearby in Midtown.

Investigators are working with prosecutors on charges, but the suspects haven’t been identified, nor have their precise ages been given yet. They may not be identified unless they’re charged as adults.

FOX4 asked KCPD directly for the suspects’ ages, but they declined to answer our question.
