Thunder Valley Casino Resort hosting August job fairs to fill over 100 positions

(FOX40.COM) — Thunder Valley Casino Resort is looking to hire people for over 100 positions with a series of job fairs throughout August.

The casino, located at 1200 Athens Avenue in Lincoln, is hosting multiple job fairs from Aug. 3 to 28. Walk-in interviews will be conducted for full and part-time positions in different departments.

Open positions include housekeepers, housepersons, janitorial porters, emergency medical technicians, security officers, EMTs, VIP drivers, cage cashiers, table game dealers, food servers, cooks, food court attendants, bus persons, beverage servers, beverage porters and kitchen workers.

Thunder Valley advises completing an online application before arriving at the following scheduled job fairs:
•Saturday, Aug. 3 (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.): Open job fair
•Tuesday, Aug. 6 (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.): Housekeeping and Internal Maintenance
•Wednesday, Aug. 7 (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.): Culinary
•Thursday, Aug. 8 (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.): Food and Beverage
•Friday, Aug. 9 (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.): Security/EMT
•Tuesday, Aug. 13 (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.): Table Games (open to experienced dealers)
•Tuesday, Aug. 20 (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.): Housekeeping and Internal Maintenance
•Wednesday, Aug. 21 (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.): Food and Beverage
•Friday, Aug. 23 (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.): Security/EMT
•Tuesday, Aug. 27 (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.): Table Games (open to experienced dealers)
•Wednesday, Aug. 28 (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.): Culinary

If applicants are unable to attend a specific job fair date, they can still attend any of the above job fairs throughout the month, the casino said.

All candidates must be at least 18 years old, but some positions require applicants to be at least 21 years old. Those who move on to the hiring process must pass a drug test and background check.

Thunder Valley said candidates can park in the casino’s designated employment center parking area in the FF lot.
