Motorcyclist airlifted from Mammoth Bar

(FOX40.COM) — A motorcyclist was airlifted from the Auburn State Recreation Area on Wednesday after sustaining a serious injury, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist fell off of their motorcycle in the Mammoth Bar OHV area and received a significant hip injury.

H-20 from the CHP Valley Division Air Operations assisted in air-lifting the rider out of the area and to a designated landing zone along the Middle Fork of the American River.

An awaiting ground ambulance provided further treatment.
