Macy’s opens new small-format store in Sacramento area

(FOX40.COM) — Macy’s new small-format store in Elk Grove is now open.

A spokesperson from Macy’s told FOX40.com it opened a new store at Laguna Crossroads shopping center in Elk Grove. Although the Macy’s is already open to customers, a grand opening and ribbon cutting won’t take place until Aug. 24.

The Elk Grove store is smaller than many of its locations at malls. In October 2023, Macy’s announced plans to expand with a small format store with 30 new locations opening through 2025.

Although it’s a smaller location, customers will find similar brands sold at the company’s larger department stores such as men’s, women’s, and kids’ clothing, beauty products, toys, and luggage.

The new store is the fifth Macy’s location in the Sacramento region. Macy’s has department stores at the Arden Fair Mall in Sacramento, Downtown Commons in downtown Sacramento, Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights, and the Westfield Galleria in Roseville.

The retailer also has a furniture and mattress store in Roseville on 1151 Galleria Boulevard.
