(FOX40.COM) — Evacuation orders were issued in Nevada County on Friday after some bushes in the Grass Valley area were caught on fire, according to Cal Fire and the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.

Cal Fire’s Nevada-Yuba-Placer Unit said around 3:45 p.m . that the vegetation fire began between Lumberjacks Restaurant and a Honda repair shop on Nevada City Highway, adding that air resources are over the flames.

Residents in the following zones were asked to evacuate the area, but all evacuations have since been lifted: GRS-E-242, GRS-E-246, GRS-E-271, and Nevada County NCO-E251.

According to the Grass Valley Police Department , officers have arrested a woman “associated with this incident.” The agency added that details surrounding how the fire started are still under investigation.

In its update, Grass Valley police said forward progress on the fire was stopped, but one business structure was “actively involved.” “Fire personnel are concerned about embers from the business structure reigniting vegetation. Evacuation orders will be lifted as soon as possible,” the agency continued.

The Nevada County Consolidated Fire Department said it is assisting the Grass Valley Fire Department and “several agencies” in taking down the fire near the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway.

The Grass Valley School District said bus routes 48, 51, and 52, are being returned to Lyman Gilmore, so children who normally take these bus routes must get picked up by their parents at Lyman Gilmore.

Details of the fire’s size are not currently available.
