Drive-thru Chipotle to open in Sacramento area

(FOX40.COM) — A drive-thru Chipotle may be on its way to the Sacramento-area, according to an investment group that recently leased property to the popular food chain.

On Tuesday, Hanley Investment Group Real Estate Advisors, a national real estate brokerage and advisory firm, announced that it arranged the $4.34M pre-sale of a new Rancho Cordova property lease to Chipotle Mexican Grill with a drive-thru or “Chipotlane.” Chipotlanes are made for customers who order online and want to pick up without exiting their vehicles.

Chipotle boasts serving burritos and bowls with all-natural ingredients, free of artificial colors, preservatives, freezers, can openers, and shortcuts. It has 14 locations in the Sacramento and Roseville area, but only two have a drive-thru. Rancho Cordova’s location will be the third.

The new 2,325-square-foot Chipotle building sits on a 0.77-acre parcel at 4001 Sunrise Boulevard. It is located at the Anatolia Marketplace shopping center near the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard and Douglas Road. The new drive thru is expected to open in September.
