MOORESVILLE, Ind. — Over the last six months, at least 60 people in Mooresville have been complaining about the smell in the town.

The focus has reportedly been on the smell coming from the Mooresville Wastewater Treatment plant, located in south Mooresville.

On Thursday, Aqua Utility Services, LLC, a company based out of New Albany, is expected to spend four hours at the plant to determine the source of the smell.

Officials told FOX59/CBS4 that the Indiana Department of Environmental Management has visited the town of Mooresville at least four times, stating that the facility has been found to be in compliance.

Officials said that the plant has reportedly added a pine scent to their process, aiming to mask the smell.
