HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. — An investigation is underway after three people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash near a busy intersection in Hendricks County Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Plainfield Police Department, first respondents were called to the intersection of Bradford Road and Smith Road in response to reports of a serious crash occurring in the area.

Upon arrival, crews located a flipped vehicle and signs of a possible entrapment. It remains unclear how many individuals are currently inside the vehicle.

The Washington Township/Avon Fire Department also arrived to assist on the scene and confirmed that three individuals had been brought to area hospitals for medical treatment.

Authorities urged the public to avoid this area as the investigation continues.

PPD confirmed around 4:30 p.m. that all lanes have reopened on Bradford Road.
