    Man faces charges in Hanes Mall shooting, victim in critical condition, police say

    WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A man was charged in connection to a shooting that happened at Hanes Mall Wednesday , the Winston-Salem Police Department says.

    According to a news release, on Wednesday evening, Angelo Addie Reid VI, 22, of Winston-Salem was charged with felony firearm by felon, felony assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill, felony discharging a firearm from within an enclosure to incite fear and misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun.

    Suspect charged in Asheboro shooting

    Around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, WSPD officers responded to a shooting at Hanes Mall and found one person with a gunshot wound. Emergency aid was rendered before the victim was taken to a local hospital.

    Reid was found in the 3300 block of Silas Creek Parkway and taken into custody. An investigation revealed the shooting was the result of a physical and verbal altercation, and it was not a random act of violence.

    Reid received no bond after appearing in court.

    The victim is still listed in critical condition.
