Rookie quarterback Drake Maye and the New England Patriots officially started their 2024 NFL training camp on Wednesday, July 24, in Foxboro, Massachusetts. This marked the training camp debut for Maye and the Patriots' new head coach, Jerod Mayo.

New England is coming off a disappointing 2023 season, where they finished with a 4-13 record. After a promising start to his career in 2022, quarterback Mac Jones had a down season, forcing the Patriots to trade him to the Jacksonville Jaguars and go in another direction.

Maye, the No. 2 pick in the 2024 NFL draft from the North Carolina Tar Heels, is already making headlines with his play in training camp.

In a video that is going viral on social media with over 300,000 views, Maye is seen effortlessly throwing a perfect deep ball to wide receiver Jalen Reagor, who caught it with one hand on the sideline.

NFL fans are already pumped about Maye's arm strength and accuracy and took to social media to share their thoughts.

In 2023 with UNC, Maye completed 269 of his 425 passing attempts for 3,608 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also added 449 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns.
