MassBay and Framingham High School Hold Second Automotive Technology Boot Camp to Strengthen the Auto Technician Pipeline
This is the second consecutive summer MassBay Community College and Framingham High School have held an automotive technology summer boot camp to help strengthen the pipeline of trained technicians. The boot camp, which has been funded through Framingham Public School, MassBay, and Youth Connections/MassHire grant, will provide 25 Framingham High rising junior and senior students the opportunity to engage in a three-week hands-on intensive workshop to learn more about the automotive industry. This program was created to provide students with career exploration in an in-demand STEM field.
Beloved CRLS Teacher, Ms. Sandoval, Bids Farewell
After four years of teaching at CRLS, our beloved AP US Government and Politics and Critical Issues teacher, Ms. Sandoval, is continuing her journey in California, where she plans to continue teaching at a local public high school in the Bay Area. Off-campus housing isn’t much cheaper — a recent report ranked Northeastern the eighth most expensive college to live off-campus in the United States, just behind Harvard (ranked seventh) and Boston University (ranked sixth). The report found that students living off campus at Northeastern can expect to pay around $3,400 a month.

CPSD Middle School Algebra One Program Sparks Debate
Algebra 1 has long been at the heart of Cambridge’s math controversy, beginning when the district removed it from middle schools in 2017 due to concerns with leveling Algebra 1 was only being provided to the students deemed ready for it, and these were overwhelmingly white or asian, and had higher socioeconomic backgrounds. In August, Algebra 1 returned to preteens, this time through, a course aimed for all, rather than a select few.
