The MOT Senior softball All-Stars will come home to compete for the Little League World Series. MOT defeated the host team Massachusetts District 4 to win the Senior League Softball Eastern Regional.

MOT and Massachusetts traded off runs in the first two innings. Grace Riccio carried the offense for MOT in those innings as she hit a homerun in the first inning scoring two runs, then scored two more runs in the second inning on a double.

MOT pulled away from Massachusetts with a big five run inning in the bottom of the fourth. They scored five runs on six hits as Charlotte Whitman tripled, Ally Taylor doubled, and Myranda Talmadge, Kamryn Tuffy, Madison Landry, Bridget Archer all singled in the inning.

With an 11-4 lead heading into the top of the seventh inning Massachusetts did not go away quietly . They threatened MOT scoring three runs, but the five run cushion in the fifth proved to be too much for the Host team. Talmadge was able to close the game out and secure an 11-7 victory and a trip to the Senior Softball World Series.

Riccio drove in five runs on three hits to lead MOT offensively. Landty added three hits and three runs, while Archer, Whitman, and Talmagde each added two hits. Talmadeg also got the win on the mound.

MOT now travels back to Delaware where they will play for a chance to win the Senior League Softball World Series. The tournament takes place here in Frankford, Delaware at the Lower Sussex Little League Complex. They will get the chance to play in front of a home crowd.

MOT will represent Delaware as Delaware D3 in the World Series. They are set to start pool play on July 29th at 6pm. If you can’t make the trip to Frankford you can watch all their games on ESPN+. We want to wish them the best of luck and we will be watching every game.
