Frankfort offers plenty of fun this July

FRANKFORT — The Village of Frankfort is ready to celebrate this July as it plans to hold two different downtown events bringing people to the area and showcasing local businesses.

Christmas in July

The Christmas in July event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 13 in Downtown Frankfort. This event features a cookie walk to help raise money for Christmas in the Village. Participants will get a cookie box to hold all their cookies given by local businesses as well as a map showing participating stores.

Tickets for this event are available for pre-sale only and can be purchased for $25 online . Those wanting a free activity can still join the celebration, just minus the cookies from each store, as there will be various vendors and different organizations set up along Main Street, if you are lucky you might even see Santa while you are there.

Sunflower Festival

The Sunflower Festival is scheduled to take place on July 27 and 28 in Frankfort. In addition to food and craft vendors, there will be several events held throughout the weekend including a 5K and fun run, sunflower show, baby contest, car show, beard and mullet contest and more.
