Mesa treasurer arrested for alleged misuse of funds
MESA – Deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office arrested the city of Mesa’s treasurer Wednesday for allegedly misusing government funds for personal items. Charmain Halverson, 50, of Lind has been under investigation for theft, injury to public record, misappropriation by treasurer, and official misconduct, all under the misuse of her purchasing privileges during her tenure as treasurer of Mesa, Washington.
