    See the aftermath of Route 208 crash that shut down highway

    Route 208 northbound in Franklin Lakes was shut down for hours on Monday following an a morning crash involving a dump truck and two NJ Department of Transportation vehicles.

    The DOT vehicles were conducting sweeping operations in a work zone on the left shoulder of the roadway, according to the Franklin Lakes Police Department.

    NorthJersey.com photo journalist Kevin Wexler went to the scene to capture the aftermath. You can see debris on the highway and a utility pole appears to have been damaged in the crash.

    The northbound lanes of Route 208 at Ewing Avenue were closed from the time of the crash until about 3:30 p.m. when the state Department of Transportation reported that one lane was reopened on the highway.
