West suburban restaurant damaged in fire

FRANKLIN PARK, Ill. — Emergency crews were called to the scene of a fire that broke out at a west suburban restaurant on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Franklin Park Fire Department, the blaze erupted at Sneaker’s Sports Bar and Grill in the 9700 block of Grand Avenue in Franklin Park.

Around seven fire trucks were called to the scene to help battle the fire and crews appeared to have gotten it under control by about 4:30 p.m.

SkyCam9 was over the scene around 4:25 p.m. when the restaurant’s roof could be seen badly damaged by the fire.

Currently, it is unclear what sparked the fire or if anyone was injured.
