Ken Ford is not used to waking up on a Thursday without needing to head to work. But Wednesday was the final day of business for his pizzeria in Sewell, Papa's Pizza. After serving the Gloucester County community for decades, Ford and his partner were essentially forced out by increasing rent costs that they consider to be unsustainable for their strip-mall location.

Commissioners to break ground on $2.3 million worth of roadwork next week
(Lindenwold, NJ) – Beginning on Monday, Aug. 5, Camden County will break ground on two major roadway improvement projects in Berlin Borough and Winslow Township. In Berlin Borough, crews will begin a $1.6 million project on Jackson Road between the White Horse Pike and Route 73 that will include road striping, milling, paving, improving stormwater infrastructure and installing handicap ramps and adjacent sidewalks. Work is expected to last until January, weather permitting, and a full road closure will be in place during work hours between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
