HARRISBURG (WTAJ) — Pennsylvania State Senator Judy Ward (R-30) announces a $5.8 million fund toward a sewer main project in Frankstown Twp.

The project will replace nearly 25,000 feet of sewer systems with new pipes and manhole covers. The state will provide the funds through a low interest loan from the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST).

“State funding can help local governments pay for projects they may otherwise not be able to afford,” Ward said. “Infrastructure projects like this sewer line are instrumental to the health and vitality of local communities. This PENNVEST loan will enable Frankstown Twp. to continue providing essential services for residents.”

The project is set to begin Oct. 1 and is planned to be finished by May 30, 2025.
