Raising Cane's 1st Lehigh Valley location has an opening date
LOWER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. — A popular Louisiana-based chicken finger fast food chain is set to open its doors to the Lehigh Valley in August. Raising Cane's will open at 6240 Hamilton Blvd. in Lower Macungie on Tuesday, Aug. 6. Workers were at the location Thursday and confirmed the opening date.

Multiple black bear sightings reported near Ringing Rocks campground in Upper Bucks County
Multiple people have posted on Facebook about seeing bears in Upper Black Eddy this week, near Ringing Rocks Family Campground and Colonial Woods Family Camping Resort. A bear cub was spotted Tuesday evening on Marienstein Road between Lake Warren and Lonely Cottage roads, about a mile from each campground. A black bear cub and an adult were seen in the same area, on Woodland Drive, on Sunday. Someone else spotted a bear on nearby Lonely Cottage Road the same night.

Park Enhancements Underway: Latest Updates
Construction started at Ray Roche Park following receiving a $425,500 grant from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) last year, in addition to funds provided through the 2021 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). This funding supports the expansion of the current playground, which will include two distinct play areas: one designed for older children with slides, swings, and climbing structures, and another featuring a smaller play structure and swings ideal for younger children. The tot lot will be fully fenced and accessible via a gate. Additionally to improve stormwater drainage and support pollinators, the park will incorporate a pollinator rain garden, made possible through support from the CRC Watershed Association, which recently secured a grant for the project.
