New program will offer free rides to local bar patrons, aims to deter drunk driving
A local organization is offering to be the designated driver for nights out downtown. The Tri-County Regional Planning Commission (TCRPC) announced at a press conference on Tuesday the launch of its pilot program “Sober Ride Home,” which aims to lessen the number of impaired driving incidents by offering free rideshare vouchers for those consuming alcohol at local bars and restaurants.
PennDOT Paving Fishing Creek Valley Road (443) 7/8 -7/10
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a PennDOT maintenance crew in Dauphin County is scheduled to pave a section of Route 443 (Fishing Creek Valley Road) in Middle Paxton Township next week. The work limits are from Harrisburg Country Club to Frog Hollow Road.
