The case of a mysterious human finger found in a Tacoma driveway earlier this month has been solved and the digit has been returned to its rightful owner. During the afternoon of July 5, Tacoma Police Department (TPD) officers responded to a report of a finger found in a driveway in the 800 block of South Pine Street, according to a statement TPD Public Information Officer Detective William Muse sent to MyNorthwest.
Tacoma Police seek assistance to identify attempted murder suspect
During this incident, a silver SUV, occupied by the suspect, slowly approached an occupied, marked Tacoma School Patrol vehicle. The SUV was slowly driven past the school patrol vehicle and eventually stopped approximately 10 feet behind it. The pictured suspect exited the passenger seat of the SUV armed with a handgun. He walked toward the marked car, raised the pistol, and fired into the school patrol vehicle from behind. The shot narrowly missed the school patrol officer.
Four teens in custody after going on crime spree in King County
KING COUNTY, Wash. — Four teenagers were taken into custody after a series of armed robberies in Renton and Tukwila overnight. The male teens, a 13-year-old, 14-year-old and two 15-year-olds, allegedly robbed a gas station and two convenience stores before leading police on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle that ended in Pierce County. They were booked into the King County Juvenile Detention Center on investigation of first-degree robbery.
