Town of Elkton holds grand opening for new Downtown Marketplace
ELKTON, Va. (WHSV)—Dozens attended the unveiling of Elkton’s new Downtown Marketplace Friday Evening. Many locals and project donors attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The project was over 30 years in the making in the historic area dubbed ‘Lawn Party Hill,’ but it wasn’t until 2021 that the old owners were willing to sell the land to the town. The town was recently awarded a $155,000 grant from the Virginia Outdoors Foundation for its Downtown Marketplace project.
Habitat, PHA and LAJC move forward with offer to buy mobile home park

City trash decal year already underway; buy ASAP to avoid disrupted pickup

Residents who use an annual trash decal for weekly trash service and have not purchased a new 2024-2025 trash decal are encouraged to purchase a new one as soon as possible to avoid any disruption in trash pickup service.
