    The Freeport area's most expensive home sold in March went for $440,000

    The 10 most expensive homes sold in March in Stephenson County ranged in price from $155,000 to $440,000.

    10. 8282 N. Afolkey Road, Dakota

    This two-story home sits on two acres in Dakota. It is 1,645 square feet and has three bedrooms, two full baths, a living room with a fireplace, dining room, main-floor laundry, an office, family room and a den. The property also has a detached two-car garage and three out buildings.

    The home sold for $155,000 on March 15. The property was listed by Joan Welt of Choice Realty, Freeport, LLC.

    This two-story home sits on almost a 1/2 acre. The home has a generous sized dining area and updated kitchen with center island and plenty of cabinets. There is main-floor laundry. The upstairs is an updated with a bath and two bedrooms with hardwood floors. Outside is a large deck, a fenced-in yard, shed and a newer driveway that leads to an oversized two-car garage with a wood burner.

    The home sold for $155,000 on March 22. The property was listed by Christi Steines, Dickerson & Nieman.
