Gunshots heard at multiple locations in Freeport overnight

FREEPORT, Ill. (WTVO) — The Freeport Police Department says they heard gunshots being fired at multiple locations overnight into Sunday morning.

At 1:58 A.M., police say they heard gunshots being fired in the 700 block of S. Liberty Avenue and the 800 block of S. Carroll Avenue.

Later at 3:17 A.M., police say they heard more shots being fired in the unit block of W. Dexter Street.

Officials say when they arrived at these spots, they located and collected evidence that showed a firearm had been discharged in both locations.

Police say there were no reported victims or property damage at any of the locations.

The Freeport Police department is asking for anyone who has any information to contact them at 815-235-8222.
