    Diamond ‘Dog Tommy Hopfe drafted by Colorado Rockies

    Fresno State graduate Tommy Hopfe was been drafted by the Colorado Rockies with the 258th pick in the 9th round of the 2024 Major League Baseball Draft.

    Hopfe spent four years with the Diamond ‘Dogs. The two-way star earned All-Mountain West honors in back-to-back seasons.

    During his time as a Bulldog, Hopfe had a .329 batting average with 41 doubles, six triples and 23 home runs.

    Hopfe pitched 92.2 innings and holds a 4.86 ERA in 68 appearances. He struck out 78 batters and held opponents to a .290 average with a 3-4 career record.
