FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – An unhoused man was hospitalized after someone shot him Friday evening, Fresno Police say.

Around 7:30 p.m. officers were called to the 2000 block of East Tyler Avenue, near Clark Street, in Central Fresno for a victim of a shooting.

Officers say they arrived to find a man, an adult white male, with a gunshot wound to his thigh.

Investigators believe the victim was in an altercation with the suspect before the shooting.

Not much has been shared publically about the suspect, other than he drove a light-colored sedan. Law enforcement is still looking for him at this time.

The victim was transported to the hospital with what officers say was a non-life-threatening wound.

If anyone has information on this case, Fresno Police ask that they call the department’s non-emergency dispatch line at 559-621-7000.
