FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The Coroner’s Office is asking for help locating the relatives of a 50-year-old man who died in Fresno County.

The Fresno County Coroner’s Office is asking for public help in locating the relatives of 50-year-old Manuel Ernest Ruelas, who recently passed away of natural causes in the hospital.

The Sheriff’s Office describes Ruelas as 6 feet 1 inch, 250 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

Staff at the Coroner’s Office say they have searched personal records, but their attempts to find Ruelas’ relatives have been unsuccessful. They say locating immediate family members is a necessary process for the Coroner’s Unit to release the body and allow the person to have a proper burial.

Anyone with information about Manuel Ruelas is asked to please contact the Coroner’s Unit at 559-600-3400 or email coroner@fresnosheriff.org .
