Registration now open for annual 10K Bay Bridge Run set for Nov. 10
Corrigan Sports Enterprises, Inc. (CSE) will once again facilitate the event across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge open to walkers and runners alike. Last year was Corrigan Sports third year running the event with over 17,000 reported participants, according to County Administrator Todd Mohn. Annapolis Tea Party 250th Anniversary Commemoration (October 19, 2024)
The Peggy Stewart 250 Committee will host a public commemoration on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at Annapolis City Dock to honor colonial Maryland’s first major revolutionary event, which led to the founding of the United States. The Annapolis Tea Party, also referred to as the Burning of the Peggy Stewart, marks the moment colonists in Annapolis formally ushered Maryland into the revolt against Britain’s tyranny and taxation. A drone show surrounding a replica of a colonial-era brig will provide a living history reenactment beginning at 7 p.m. and may be seen from locations with a view of Annapolis City Dock.
