MARCH 20 Parker McCollum Headlining ACM Lifting Lives Charity Concert

The Academy of Country Music Awards are taking over Dallas Cowboys headquarters in Frisco this May. To kick off 'country music's party of the year,' ACM Award winner Parker McCollum will headline a charity concert on May 15th .

The concert will benefit ACM Lifting Lives , which raises money and awareness to improve lives through the power of music with a specific focus on health-related initiatives that use music therapy as a way of healing. Philanthropy comittments include ACM Lifting Lives Autism Lab at Vanderbilt Kennedy Center and their annual Music Camp, a week-long, music-driven, residential program for individuals with Williams syndrome.

Last year's ACM Awards show was unforgettable. A nearly-unrecognizable Cowboys HQ transformed into one of the biggest stages in music and two stars of 'America's Team' kicked off the star-studded evening. Donning cowboys boots and hats, Dak Prescott and Emmitt Smith presented the first award of the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards at the 12,000-seat Ford Center.

FEB 13 Troy Aikman's Old Patrick Mahomes Tweet Goes Viral

    The internet keeps receipts.

After Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes beat the San Francisco 49ers to win his third Super Bowl on Sunday night, NFL fans resurfaced an old tweet from  ESPN commentator and Dallas Cowboys legend Troy Aikman.

In 2019 -  less than two years into Mahomes' career as an NFL starter - the Chiefs QB had thrown for 36 percent of the total of touchdowns that Troy Aikman had thrown in his career in about 8 percent of the games.

    Aikman replied.

Now, Mahomes has the same amount of Super Bowl titles (3) at age 28 as Aikman won during his entire Hall of Fame career. Which some social media users are quick to point out as they resurface the post.

Mahomes will now chase Tom Brady , who won seven Super Bowls, six with the Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

FEB 6 Eli Manning Raps Playful Poke At Tom Brady During NFL Pro Bowl

One of the most beloved people in the NFL world, former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning showed off his rapping ability at the NFL Pro Bowl. With his team gathered round him in rap battle, the NFC Pro Bowl coach playfully dissed his friend and fellow quarterback Tom Brady.

"I'm Eli Manning, I'm nice. Tom Brady's the GOAT, sike! I beat him twice!" Manning said.

The rap brought down the house.... It also checks out.

Manning and the Giants defeated Brady' Patriots in Super Bowl XLII 17-14 to halt New England's perfect season. Four years later, Manning's Giants played spoiler again in Super Bowl XLVI, when the Giants denied the Patriots a title with a 21-17 victory.

JAN 16 HOT MIC CATCHES HANDSHAKE BETWEEN STAFFORD AND GOFF

It was all love between quarterbacks Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff on the field after the Detroit Lions eliminated the Los Angeles Rams from the NFL playoffs.

A hot mic picked up Stafford telling Goff, “I appreciate you, brother” a couple of times.

One of the biggest storylines of Wild Card weekend, it was the first time in NFL postseason history that the starting quarterbacks were both facing their former teams.

Stafford and Jared Goff were traded for each other just three years ago, and Stafford went on to win it all with the Rams. Goff went to the Super Bowl but fell short before his time ran out in Los Angeles.

The two QBs battled in what was a thrilling 24-23 victory for the Lions. As 6-point favorites , Detroit will now face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Divisional Round .

JAN 9 STEFON DIGGS TO JOSH ALLEN: "FOUR MORE!"

The offseason drama between Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and top receiver Stefon Diggs appears to all be in the rearview mirror. The two players embraced after the Bills took down the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night to win their fourth-straight AFC East title.

Diggs whispered to Allen, "Four more! Four more!''

The reference is to the four victories needed for the Bills to win their first-ever Super Bowl. Buffalo's postseason begins Sunday afternoon against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card round.

Buffalo is the No. 2 seed in the AFC and on a five-game winning streak entering the playoffs.

    DEC 25 PRESCOTT'S HOLIDAY TRADITIONS

Quarterback Dak Prescott is an underrated trash-talker in the NFL. He enjoys the back-and-forth, as do his teammates.

The trash talk (kinda) extends to his Christmas celebration with his family. The Prescott family has a tradition of gathering, playing cards, and enjoying meat pies. The pies are a family recipe that Prescott’s mom, Peggy, would cook up. Since she has passed, Prescott’s aunt has carried on her legacy and recipe.

As for the card games … Nothing is off limits: Spades, Go Fish, Uno. Prescott says his grandma on his father’s side can get pretty competitive and he smiles as he says he might talk a little trash to her.

DEC 22 Kearse Responds To Social Media Privacy Invasion

Dallas defenders Jayron Kearse and Juanyeh Thomas were doxed on social media following the team's 31-10 defeat at the hands of the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Doxing is defined as the act of releasing personal information, such as addresses and phone numbers, onto public forums such as social media. It is often seen as a form of extortion or online shaming.

Personal information of Kearse and Thomas was leaked by fans; Kearse's home address was published in reply on his social media and Thomas' phone number was also posted.

    Players addressed their understandable concerns.

"That’s where my kids lay their heads, it’s where my fiancé lays her head, I’m not the one to play with, just that simple, not the one to play with,” Kearse said after Thursday’s practice.

DEC 13 TOM BRADY TO STAR IN THE G.R.O.A.T?

In perhaps one of the more unique business ventures former New England Patriots superstar Tom Brady has gotten himself into during post-NFL life, the quarterback is apparently set to be the star of a professional roasting via Netflix.

"The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady" is set to debut on the popular streaming service May 5 live from The Kia Forum, and will feature Brady's "friends and frenemies."

Hosted by Jeff Ross — the insult comedian known for his roasts of celebrities like Donald Trump, Justin Bieber, James Franco and even Larry the Cable Guy — the G.R.O.A.T has the potential to be personal and even a little indecorous. But that's up to Ross — and Brady's family.

Expect at least a couple of inflation-based quips ... and not the economic kind.

DEC 12 Bill Belichick Dismisses Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift Ahead of Hosting Kansas City Chiefs

Earlier this season, Belichick openly talked about his affection for Taylor Swift . In September, he joked that the popular singer was the " biggest catch " of Travis Kelce's career. This week, Belichick was light-heartedly asked if he could get tickets for a co-host so she could meet Swift.

Grumbled Belichick on his weekly WEEI radio show , "I don’t really know anything about tickets.”

Another host followed-up on the Swift subject, asking if he was going to introduce himself to her sometime Sunday.

Grumbled Belichick even more, "I’m really focused on trying to get our team ready to play Kansas City, so ...”

DEC 6 BUFFALO TE DAWSON KNOX PROPOSES

Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox had a momentous bye week. Knox proposed to his now-fiancee Alex Seefelt in a beachfront engagement. Spoiler alert, she said yes!

Knox, 27, announced his engagement via Instagram on Sunday, with the proposal itself coming on Thursday. His Bills teammates to eager to share their congratulatory remarks, with Stefon Diggs, Damar Hamlin and more celebrating the occasion.

"I guess this is what the kids call a 'hard launch,'" Knox wrote. I have found the one whom my soul loves. When you know, you know… and it was only a matter of months before I realized that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this woman. She’s loved me at my worst, and helps sharpen me to be at my best. She’s a direct representation of God’s love, and I thank Him every single day for her. 11.30.23, best day of my life."

NOV 29 RODGERS HYPES COWBOYS QB DAK PRESCOTT

Four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers took time to show Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott respect. During his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show , Rodgers, who is recovering from a torn Achilles tendon he suffered during his first game with the New York Jets, revealed that Prescott has caught his eye in the best way.

"He’s become one of my favorite quarterbacks to watch," Rodgers said. "I watch a lot more games than usual. And Tom [Brady] had some comments about some of the mediocrity. And I just want to say Dak is not who he’s talking about.”

Since losing in Week 5 to the San Francisco 49ers in embarrassing fashion, Prescott has been the arguably best quarterback in football. He’s thrown for 300+ yards in four of the last five games.

NOV 22 CEEDEE LAMB SAYS "INSANE" CRITICISM OF DAK PRESCOTT

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott shoulders constant criticism from fans and media. Yet, still his

For CeeDee Lamb , who has had a front-row seat to what Prescott has had to deal with over the years, it's all a bit troubling.

    Or, "insane,'' even.

“He's deals with so much criticism,'' Lamb said, "that it's insane," Lamb said. "Like, he'll have a bad game, and oh my God, (he gets called) all kinds of names, and it's upsetting.''

Lamb is joining coach Mike McCarthy and others in expressing amazement at Dak's ability to handle the hateful abuse.

"At the end of the day, everybody is entitled to their own opinion,'' Lamb said. "(But) Dak is doing a great job of blocking it out and ... being the player that he is.

"And so far he's been crushing it.”

NOV 21 KELCE BROTHERS' SPECIAL MOMENT/JOKE AFTER REMATCH

The Philadelphia Eagles upset the Kansas City Chiefs in prime time on Monday night. The 21–17 Eagles win marked the fourth time Philadelphia center Jason Kelce and brother Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce have played each other in the NFL.

After the game, the Kelce brothers reunited at midfield in an embrace. Travis said the win was a late birthday present to his older brother, Jason, who turned 36 on Nov. 5.

"Late birthday present to you," Travis told Jason. "Love you, big guy."

The game was a rematch of last season's Super Bowl, which marked the first time siblings on opposing teams played each other in the championship. The Eagles lead the NFL with nine wins after enacting their revenge on the reigning Super Bowl champion Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
