Talbot County Garden Club Presents Tour Funds to Two Historic Churches in Trappe
Talbot County Garden Club hosted a lemonade social at Scotts United Methodist Church in Trappe on June 16 to celebrate the success of the 2024 Talbot County Tour of the Maryland House & Garden Pilgrimage. Dedicated to the restoration and preservation of historic properties, the May 11 Tour drew more than 2,000 “pilgrims” to seven outstanding private properties. Tour proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships – greatly amplified by service providers’ discounts and donations – will cover major infrastructure projects at two historic churches in Trappe: Scotts and St. Paul’s Episcopal on Main Street and brick ruins from the related old White Marsh Church on Almshouse Road and Route 50.
Council approves annexation of land for potential affordable housing project
EASTON — A potential affordable multifamily housing development project on the east side of Ocean Gateway took a step forward at Monday night’s Town Council meeting. Wednesday was cooler at the beach, but fishing was also cooler. At Lewes Harbour Marina the report was a slow day on the Angler with only some croaker to show for the day’s catch. A few private boats went out in the bay and managed to scratch out a few black drum, tog and sheepshead.

According to the AHA, WellSpan’s safety infrastructure was particularly impressive, with daily huddles used to escalate any potential issues across the organization to ensure decisions regarding patient care could be made quickly and efficiently. The healthcare provider also aimed to create a sense of psychological safety within the organization, so that all team members, including frontline care providers, could feel empowered to share their perspectives and quickly address any safety issues that may arise.
