Salisbury small business awarded funding from Maryland initiative
SALISBURY, Md. – Funding is on the way for small businesses across Maryland. The Salisbury Dance Academy is just one of those local businesses getting help. Governor Wes Moore’s administration says it’s aiming to support local revitalization projects and activities on the Eastern Shore. 28 other businesses across Maryland will also receive the funding.

Maryland hospitals take preventative measures, courts close over Microsoft outage
BALTIMORE -- The Maryland Judiciary closed all courts to the public Friday, except for emergencies, due to a Microsoft outage that has crippled systems worldwide. Hospitals are also among the systems impacted. The issue was caused by a technical problem that global cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike said it had identified in its software and was working to resolve, CBS News reports. CrowdStrike provides antivirus software to Microsoft for its Windows devices."The underlying cause has been fixed, however, residual impact is continuing to affect some Microsoft 365 apps and services. The Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) used the busy Fourth of July weekend this year to send boaters a clear message about drinking and driving on the water. NRP heightened their enforcement from July 4-6 during “Operation Dry Water” and made nine arrests for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol (OUI).
