Two West Michigan credit unions announce merger
GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Two Grand Rapids-based credit unions, West Michigan Credit Union and Bloom Credit Union, are planning to merge. The board of directors of both credit unions have voted in favor of the merger, according to a news release. However, member of Bloom Credit Union must still vote on the merger, and regulatory approval is pending.

MDOT meeting to focus on major upgrades to bridge over I-96 in West Michigan
WALKER, MI – An aging bridge north of Grand Rapids is set to undergo major improvements next year and officials want to hear from residents prior to the construction phase. The Michigan Department of Transportation is partnering with the city of Walker and Kent County Road Commission to replace and redesign the Fruit Ridge Avenue bridge over I-96 in Walker.
