Car show held in downtown Muskegon to raise funds for veteran suicide prevention
MUSKEGON, Mich. — Around 400 cars, trucks and motorcycles packed into downtown Muskegon on Saturday for the eighth annual Heykoop Veteran Memorial Car Show and Benefit. Hosted at Hod Rod Harley Davidson from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the yearly event is held by Lighthouse for Veterans to raise funds for veteran suicide prevention.
Saginaw man in serious condition after being pulled from Lake Michigan
MUSKEGON, MI - A Saginaw man and teen were hospitalized after being rescued from Lake Michigan on Friday, July 5. The Muskegon Department of Public Safety responded to the water emergency around 4:30 p.m. at Pere Marquette Beach after two people saw the man, 30, and the girl, 13, struggling in the water, a news release said.
