Loma teen receives $27,000 check and sets record
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The 18-year-old showman saved her best Mesa County Fair for last. Echo Bartels was born and raised in Loma, Colorado. At the young age of 8-years-old, she showed a sheep for the first time at the local fair. Her mother’s friend talked her into trying it and that decision shaped the next 10 years of her life.
