Michigan Man Sentenced In Fulton County For Aggravated Menacing
Brent S. Pinkelman, age 53, of Jasper, MI, was convicted of one count of Attempted Improperly Handling Firearms in a Motor Vehicle and one count of Aggravated Menacing. According to the Fulton County Prosecutor’s Office, Mr. Pinkelman did attempt to knowingly transport or have a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle in such a manner that the firearm is accessible to the operator or any passenger without leaving the vehicle and he did knowingly cause the victim to believe that he would cause serious physical harm to the victim or the property of the victim.
Swanton man sentenced to prison on gross sexual imposition charge
WAUSEON — A Swanton man was recently sentenced to prison on a gross sexual imposition and drug charge, according to the Fulton County Prosecutor’s Office. Jack Langwell III, 34, previously pleaded guilty to one count of gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony, and was sentenced to 16 months in prison. He received credit for 134 days already served.

WAUSEON — A Fulton County grand jury has returned a number of indictments. Among those indicted was Corey Royer, 53, Holland, for two counts of robbery, second- and third-degree felonies; and a charge of unauthorized use a motor vehicle, a first-degree misdemeanor. The charges allege that while committing a theft offense on July 4, or fleeing thereafter, he used, or threatened, the use of force against the victim. He also allegedly operated a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Man charged with deaths of couple hit by SUV after Sylvania concert
Bond was set at $310,000 during arraignment Monday of a Fulton County man charged for the deaths of a Swanton couple who were struck by an SUV as they left a concert at Centennial Terrace on Saturday night. Donald Christian, 54, of Lyons, Ohio is charged in Sylvania Municipal Court with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and one count of operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs in the crash reported at 10:56 p.m. on Centennial Road just south of Erie Street in Sylvania. His next court date was scheduled for July 24 following the video arraignment before Magistrate Christy Cole. Donald J. Fern, 78, and Therese Fern, 66, both died after being taken to ProMedica Toledo Hospital following the crash. Mr. Christian was arrested at the scene and booked into the Lucas County jail. Sylvania Police Chief Danilynn Miller said Monday that the Ferns and Mr. Christian all had attended the concert Saturday evening at Centennial Terrace. The pedestrian deaths were Sylvania’s first since 2013, the chief said.
