UC Pre-K Teachers Hit Ground Running With Screenings
Union City, Tenn.–Pre-K teachers at Union City Schools have gotten the jump on 2024-25. With the official beginning of the upcoming school year less than two weeks away, around 120 enrollees of the UC Pre-K department underwent entry-level screening under the watchful eyes of staff Monday at Union City Elementary School.
Two Weakley County Residents Arrested in Union City on Outstanding Warrants
Charges and arrests were made to two Weakley County residents following a traffic stop in Union City. Police reports said a traffic stop on East Reelfoot Avenue resulted in the arrest of the driver, 41 year old Lonnie Lord Nelson of Martin, and passenger, 33 year old Jeremy Lane Perry of Sharon.

PRINCETON, KY — Kentucky State Police (KSP) report that KSP Post 2 Troopers arrested Braze Rucker early Sunday morning July 21st at a residence in Princeton, KY. The arrest was in reference to the July 19, 2024, shooting of Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Trooper Adam Cothron, in Putnam County, TN. Trooper Cothron (THP) conducted a traffic stop on I-40, at mile marker 285, near the Burgess Falls exit, occupied by two males.
