Stewart ‘honored’ to lead Carlisle
Julie Stewart will begin her 30th year in education this August when she steps into the role of principal at Carlisle Elementary School in Delaware. Stewart joins the district after 29 years at Lima City Schools where she spent 13 years teaching elementary school and 16 years as a principal. Stewart was hired by the Delaware City Schools Board of Education in June to replace former Carlisle Principal Paula Vertikoff, who left at the end of the school year.
OHSAA awards Fredericktown’s Partington a $1,000 scholarship
COLUMBUS – Fredericktown’s Julia Partington was one of 200 athletes in the state selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Ohio High School Athletics Association. The OHSAA and its six District Athletic Boards awarded $200,000 to 200 recent high school graduates as part of the OHSAA’s Scholar-Athlete Scholarship Program.

Edison State Receives Funds for Respiratory Care Program Training Equipment
$900,000 have been secured on behalf of Edison State Community College from the Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies’ Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) Requests for Fiscal Year 2024. The College will use the funds to purchase essential training equipment for its new Respiratory Care program.
