    Christopher Shoemaker, 38, Delta, appeared for sentencing on charges of corrupting another with drugs, a fourth-degree felony; and sexual imposition, a third-degree misdemeanor. He was placed on community control for three years with conditions, including that he complete the Henry County Child and Family Advocacy Center’s sex offender treatment program. He also was classified as a tier I sexual offender. Charges of rape, a first-degree felony; and furnishing alcohol to an underage person, an unclassified misdemeanor, were dismissed.

    Eduardo Lara Jr., 51, Archbold, entered an Alford guilty — maintaining his innocence, but given in his “best interests” — to a charge of assault, a first-degree misdemeanor. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and his bond was continued. Sentencing will be scheduled at a later date.

    Jeffrey Colon, 72, Archbold, pleaded not guilty to 14 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person, each a fourth felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 7 and his bond was continued.

    Jacob Wyckhouse, 39, McClure, pleaded not guilty to failure to provide change of address, a fourth-degree felony; and assault, a first-degree misdemeanor. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 14 and he was given a personal-recognizance.
