Bucks County man pleads guilty to charges related to string of robberies and abductions last summer
Prince Amoabeng, 25, of Langhorne pleaded guilty Thursday to charges including aggravated assault, robbery, unlawful restraint and gun offenses relating to a string of robberies and abductions in Philadelphia last summer.
Fire erupts inside Dow facility in Bristol, Bucks County
Firefighters responded to a fire inside a Bucks County chemical plant on Friday morning.The fire happened around 10:30 a.m. in the Dow Research & Development facility at 310 George Patterson Blvd. adjacent to Dow's Bristol Croydon Operations site.The fire was brought under control at 1:20 p.m.Company officials say there is no impact to the community. Some areas nearby were evacuated as a precaution.There was also no impact on production at the facilities.The company said all Dow personnel are accounted for.Dow said it will conduct a full investigation into the incident.There is no word on what sparked the fire.No one was injured.
Bodycam footage released in fatal Hamilton Township police-involved shooting
The New Jersey Attorney General's Office released body camera footage of an officer-involved shooting that left a man dead in Mercer County.It happened around 10 p.m. on March 8 on the 1800 block of Orchard Avenue.Officers were called to the home for a reported domestic dispute.After speaking with a relative outside, bodycam video shows officers walking in as they're almost immediately met with gunfire.During the encounter, Hamilton Township Police Officers Derek Fiabane and Paul Piromalli exchanged gunfire with 44-year-old Vincent Correa inside the home.Officer Fiabane and Correa were both shot.Correa was pronounced dead at the scene. A rifle and a handgun were recovered in his possession.Officer Fiabane was transported to a hospital with non-fatal injuries and has since been released.The investigation into the shooting remains under investigation.

HAVERTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- A Delaware County teacher is facing criminal charges in two incidents where he's accused of exposing himself.Matthew Gagat, 47, a fifth-grade teacher at Lynnewood Elementary, was charged in Montgomery County in March 2024 for allegedly exposing himself in public. He's also charged after allegedly exposing himself at a public park in Bucks County at the end of June 2024, the School District of Haverford Township said in a letter to parents.The district said in a letter that officials just learned about the charges this week after seeing media reports.Gagat is charged in Horsham and Sellersville.Neither incident involves children."We understand and share in the concern this news causes, and the desire for more information and for a meaningful response from the school district," Superintendent Maureen Reusche wrote in the letter from the district. "We will do our very best to provide as much accurate information, context, and support as soon as possible."The district said it will be able to share more information in the coming days and provide ways to support families in the district.
