Fort Jackson long drive event crowns three champions
World Long Drive ( WLD) Fort Jackson awarded five total championships recently, with the final three coming Monday, July 22—the Open Division, Women’s Division, and Military Long Drive Championship. In the Open Division, World No. 4 Colton Casto (above, center) defeated defending World Champion Kyle Berkshire with a 386-yard drive. In the Women’s Division, Mai Dechathipat out-drove World No. 1 Monica Lieving 317 yards to 311 yards. In the Military Division, Brendan Ridge blasted a 348-yard drive to capture the World Long Drive ( WLD) Military Championship. The World Long Drive World Championship will be held August 8-11 in Atlanta.
