A standoff at an Upstate home lasted several hours before ending with the suspect being taken into custody without further incident.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office responded
to a report of shots fired at a home on Monroe Street in Gaffney, just after 930 PM Monday.

Upon arrival, deputies were advised the shooter was heavily intoxicated and they found shell casings on the porch. The suspect, Zsazhamar Jericho Davis then allegedly threatened to kill multiple deputies, he then locked himself in the home and told deputies to come get him.

The SWAT Team was called in and tried to negotiate with Davis to surrender. 6 hours later gas was deployed in the home, forcing Davis to surrender. He was then arrested and multiple weapons and ammo were found in the home.

Davis is charged with threatening public officials, resisting arrest, using a firearm while intoxicated, using a firearm while under the influence and breach of peace.

The Sheriff's Office says a breathalyzer test revealed that the suspect's blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit.
