One Person Injured In Two Vehicle Accident
Police said one person was injured Tuesday in a Dubuque crash. 78 year old Jill Pollock of Dubuque, was taken to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment for right knee and left leg pain. A report states that Pollock was driving west on East 19th Street at about 1:50 p.m. Tuesday and failed to yield at a stop sign, causing her to strike 39 year old Adam Lesage of Davenport, who was traveling north on White Street. Pollock was cited with failure to obey a stop sign and not having a valid driver’s license.
Increase in Shots Fired Incidents In Dubuque So Far This Year
The city of Dubuque saw an increase in the number of shots-fired calls recorded in the first six months of the year, although local leaders stress that the overall risk to public safety remains low. Nine cases of shots fired with criminal intent were reported since January 1st, already eclipsing the seven instances recorded in all of 2023. The figure is higher than the two incidents recorded in the first half of 2023 and the six recorded in the first half of 2022, though it falls just shy of the 10 shots-fired incidents Dubuque police recorded in the first six months of 2021.
