    Woman arrested for 'large amount' of meth in Galena home

    CHEROKEE COUNTY, Kan. (KOAM) -- Authorities arrest a Cherokee County woman after finding a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

    According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, the Ozark Drug Enforcement Team, Galena Police Department and Cherokee County deputies served a search warrant at 412 Washington Street in Galena.

    The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office says the warrant was issued as the result of another investigation. During the search, a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia was found in the home.

    The sheriff's office says the deputies arrested the suspect and has requested the charges of Distribution of a Controlled Substance within 1000 feet of a School, Possession of Meth, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Felony Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana.
