Accidental shooting in Parsons leaves one in critical condition
PARSONS, Kan. (KOAM) - An accidental shooting early morning on July 25, 2024 has left one man in critical condition and another in police custody. The incident occurred at Prairie West Apartments on the 3600 block of Chess Avenue.
Parsons Man Arrested in Brutal Domestic Assault Case
A Parsons man is arrested for a domestic assault incident lasting for multiple days. The Parsons Police Department was notified about a possible domestic assault and officers were dispatched to the 2900 Block of Clark. Upon arrival, officers interviewed the victim, a 42-year-old female, who shared a detailed description of her assaults that transpired over a period of days. The victim stated that she had been repeatedly punched and strangled to the point of not being able to breathe. The assailant told the victim that he was going to slaughter the family. There was evidence of ongoing violent conduct inside the residence, including damaged walls and doors. The victim was also held against her will. There were several instances of reported sexual assault over a period of days.
