Atlantic City Free summer concerts!
The summertime music comes alive in Atlantic City! The Atlantic City boardwalk and Gardiner's basin will host summer concerts, courtesy of The New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Redevelopment Authority(CRDA). Free entertainment runs through September 5th at Kennedy Plaza across from Boardwalk Hall. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy a wide range of music from Rock N Roll to jazz, Rhythm & Blues and more. On Wednesday nights, award winning international artists and headliners representing a wide range of music genres will have us dancing on our blankets, presented by Tony Mart Presents and The CRDA. The Wednesday night Mardi Gras AC concerts, begin at 7pm and run through September 4th. July 3rd, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band will showcase an "Eddie & The Cruisers" Rock n' Roll celebration! July 24th, Classic rockers will love The Last Waltz Concert, a tribute to Martin Scorsese's original film highlighting Levon and The Hawks who became Bob Dylan and the Band. Southern Rock and Blues star Devon Allman will also appear. The Chicken Bone Beach Jazz Concert Series returns to Kennedy Plaza between Mississippi and Georgia Avenues in the city Thursday nights beginning at 7 through September 5th. The Free Summer Concerts at Gardiner's Basin return presented by The National R&B Music Society, Inc. Hitmakers from my youth including The Manhattans (Kiss And Say Goodbye-1976) with Gerald Alston, Honey Comb and others wow us on Saturday June 29th beginning at 1pm. National recording stars Ray, Goodman & Brown appear Saturday July 1st. (Rain date: Sunday July 2nd)* Nothing beats summer at the Jersey shore and free concerts up close on the beach with the stars and rising local artists.
