Fresno’s two-touchdown margin of victory was their largest in a game this year (previously nine runs). Fresno fell to 75-29 all-time against Stockton (14-6 record this season) with a 40-10 all-time record (10-4 this year) at Banner Island Ballpark. The Ports have won three consecutive games against the Grizzlies, outscoring them 39-15. Fresno sits in last place among all eight teams in the California League second half, trailing the San Jose Giants by 11 games.
Wild Ninth for Stockton Leads to Comeback Win for Fresno
STOCKTON, Calif. — The Ports coughed up a one-run lead in the ninth inning on Thursday night, dropping game three of the series with Fresno by a score of 7-3. The Ports were up 3-2 going into the ninth inning, but rather than sticking with reliever Mark Adamiak who cruised through a 1-2-3 eighth, Stockton decided to get fellow reliever Luke Anderson into the game since he hand’t pitched since Sunday.
