Fireworks stand raises money for holiday gifts to kids in need

One local group is celebrating the July 4th holidays by giving back to the community.

Saint Vincent de Paul and TNT Fireworks has set up a fireworks stand at Glenwood Street and State Street in Garden City.

The benefits from sales will go towards buying Christmas gifts and clothing for children in need.

Kacy Elguezabal with St. Vincent De Paul tells Idaho News 6, “If we waited to do the fundraiser near Thanksgiving or Christmas, we wouldn't have time to purchase the gifts or set up the stores, so Christmas in July is the way to go, we're trying to let the people have a chance to help us out while we help the kids out at Christmas."

For every $100 worth of fireworks you buy, it provides a gift, hat, gloves, socks, and stocking stuffers for every child.
