Eastern Idaho librarians implement a variety of methods to comply with new library law
POCATELLO — Librarians across eastern Idaho are using a variety of methods to comply with a law that restricts materials to minors. The law, which was reintroduced a number of times in the Legislature, was passed on April 3 and became enforceable on July 1. It makes it so that anyone can submit a “request for reconsideration” on a library item to have it moved to a section with restricted access to minors, defined as anyone under the age of 18.
9,180 Idaho grads will receive Launch grants

State officials have made their final awards for the first-year program, which provides high school graduates with up to $8,000 for college or workforce training aligned with in-demand careers.
