Woman and child hurt in Garden City aggravated battery

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Garden City police say a woman and child were hurt on Sunday in an aggravated battery incident. It happened around 11:25 p.m.

Police say a woman and child with visible injuries showed up at the Finney County Law Enforcement Center. There, officers learned that the woman was involved in an argument outside a home with a 29-year-old man. The argument continued inside a car. At that time, the man told the woman to get out of the vehicle. As she attempted to remove the child, the man drove off, injuring both of them. Finney County EMS took them to St. Catherine Hospital for treatment.

Police located the 29-year-old man at his home, and he was booked into the Finney County Jail on suspicion of multiple counts of aggravated battery and aggravated child endangerment.
