    Wichita man arrested in 2 Garden City robberies

    WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Garden City Police Department says a 49-year-old Wichita man was arrested in connection with two robberies.

    The armed robberies occurred at two separate businesses. One happened on May 4 at Joyeria America, 308 W. Fulton St., and the other on July 1 at Tacos El Tapatio, 1203 E. Fulton St.

    On the Fourth of July, officers located the suspect and took him in following a police pursuit that traveled east out of the city.

    Police said no injuries were reported from the pursuit, and the Finney County Sheriff’s Office and Kansas Highway Patrol assisted with the incident.

    The man was booked on suspicion of two counts of aggravated robbery, flee and elude, interference with a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, aggravated battery, possession of stimulant, possession of a hallucinogenic with intent to distribute, possession of paraphernalia, criminal possession of a firearm by a felon and reckless driving.

    KSN News does not name a suspect until they are charged.
